About Us

They say timing is everything, and for Joe Williams it certainly was. Having grown up inside the lumber yard business since 1981, starting out as a forklift driver and working his way through every facet of the business, he knew in 2011 that it was time to take a step of faith and begin his dream of owning and running his own business.

Joe’s business model is simple – to exemplify customer service the way it is supposed to be done. He believes in the importance of treating people the way he would want to be treated, always answering the phone, being present in the moment, and treating folks with kindness in all situations.

Today, in a business known for relationships, Williams Building Products knows the people, it knows the products and it knows the process.

Joe’s goal is simply to align those who have products to sell with contractors that need them, at a fair price. These goals remain as the team has grown.

Today, WBP’s reach has grown across the Southeast with multi-family projects being successfully completed in nine states. These projects include apartments, student housing, and assisted living. WBP’s best-selling products include, but are not limited to, windows, doors, trim, hardware, siding, house wrap, and flashing.

WBP’s operation may seem small on the outside, but its people pride themselves in being flexible, innovative, and responsive every day and every time.

Give us a chance to prove it. You’ll be glad you did.
